Teeth whitening
Teeth whitening is designed to lighten and whiten the color of a tooth. Professional whitening allows for quick and visible effect and is non-invasive. In the Center for Modern Orthodontics we offer two types of teeth whitening - in-office whitening consisting of irradiation in the office and overlay whitening, which the patient performs at home.
At your first visit, the doctor/hygienist will take a thorough history to understand what you need and to make sure there are no abnormalities in your teeth that could be a contraindication to treatments.

How do you keep your teeth white?
What are the causes of discoloration on teeth?
The most common causes of discoloration include poor oral hygiene, smoking, drinking coffee, tea and herbal decoctions as well as excessive consumption of colored products. Taking medication or genetic predisposition is also not without significance.
Prevention
To enjoy a white and healthy smile, proper prevention is important. This includes oral hygiene, the use of appropriate toothpaste and toothbrush. Regular visits to the dentist guarantee healthy and strong teeth.
Post-whitening recommendations
After the teeth whitening procedure, in order to maximally preserve the whitening effect - patients are advised to observe the so-called "white diet" for the period of 2 weeks, which consists in eating only non-staining food and drinks. For the first 24 hours after the procedure, especially hot and cold food and liquids should be avoided. During the "white diet" it is not allowed to smoke - it may cause discoloration of freshly whitened teeth.
