At the Center for Modern Orthodontics we use Icon - the most modern method in dentistry. Treatment of caries without drilling and without pain? Yes, it is possible. Icon is a modern approach to treatment of early carious lesions, so called "white spots". These carious lesions on teeth are the result of poor oral hygiene. This phenomenon is most common among young people as well as those who were treated with braces.
Icon represents a kind of gap between prevention and composite restorations. The procedure involves tightly filling and closing the cavity with a special resin. The procedure takes about 15 minutes per tooth. It is performed during one visit. No anesthesia is required and the treated surface looks like healthy enamel.

What is cosmetic dentistry?
Cosmetic dentistry deals with improving the appearance of teeth by changing their shape, alignment and color.
How to prevent caries?
The basis is check-ups, which should be carried out in children every 3 months, and in adults every 6 months. An important role is played by regular visits to the hygienist in order to professionally clean the teeth (removing plaque and tartar). Fluoridization is also important as it strengthens the enamel and makes teeth more resistant to harmful bacteria.
How to treat caries?
In Poland, caries is a problem of as many as 95 percent of adults. The way the tooth is treated depends on its condition. Initial caries can be treated with the non-invasive Icon method. Caries, which has developed much further involves the reconstruction of the damaged tissue with light-cured material.
